  1. How much does it cost?
  2. Fees are based on a 2-hour DVD costing $20.00 each.

    A video lasting up to 2 hours = $20 (1 DVD)
    A video lasting between 2 to 4 hours = $40 (2 DVDs)
    A video lasting 4 to 6 hours = $60 (3 DVDs)
extra copies = $5 each. Personalized labeling no extra charge

  3. What is included for the $20 fee?
  4. You will receive your DVD with the “lightscribe” label permanently etched into it with laser technology. Each DVD will be placed in it’s own protective case.

  5. Will my new DVDs play on my DVD player?
  6. I burn the tapes onto the DVD-R format. These are compatible with 95% of all DVD players. If you have concerns, there is a web site where you can check to see if your player is compatible. The site is http://videohelp.com/dvdplayer.php

  7. What tapes do you convert?
  8. I can convert VHS, VHS-C, 8mm tapes, Digital 8, Hi8 and MiniDV

  9. How long will it take?
  10. Please allow 1 to 3 weeks for the transferring process, depending upon how many you send, and 1 week for shipping time if applicable.

  11. Is it safe for my tapes?
  12. Yes. Your videos will not be harmed in this process. I will return your tapes along with the DVDs in the same condition they were sent to me in.

  13. Do you guarantee your work?
  14. I do guarantee my work. Please read my Policies. Contact my by E-mail if you are unhappy with the transfers. Please keep in mind that the quality of the transfers can only be as good as the quality of the tapes they are copied from. In the event that you are not happy you can return them to me for a refund or I can do them over.

  15. What is the best way to preserve my home movies?
  16. Getting your home movies transferred onto DVD is the first step. Ordering additional copies is a good idea.. If anything should happen to your first one, you will have another that can be copied. Relatives and friends love to have copies too. I am happy to personalize any extra copies free of charge. Please specify the titles you want in Section 3 of the order form.

  17. How do I order?

    2. You can always deliver the tapes to me.
    3. Ship the tapes and order form to:

  19. How do I fill out the Order Form?
  20. See SAMPLE FORM for help with the following instructions.

The first step is to fill out Section 1: Personal information of the order form.

The next step is to fill out Section 2: Video Information and Labeling

You have two options for filling out the information for labeling the DVDs.

    1. The first option is designed for those who don’t know the length of each video and just want to get their tapes preserved on DVD before it’s too late.
    2. If you choose this option, clearly number each video with a sticker or tape for easy identification, and I will assign that number to the corresponding DVD. If the tape is longer than two hours it will require a DVD for every two hours of tape . For example, a 6 hour video will be labeled #1a, #1b, #1c.
    3. For the second option you fill in the number of the video, the type of tape, the length and the title of each 2 hour DVD, and the number of copies you want.
    4. Each DVD’s title can have up to 4 lines, 20 characters per line.
    5. If you would like extra copies personalized, please write the title details in the space provided in Section 3 of the Order Form.

  21. What are the labels like?
  22. I use high quality HP LightScribe DVDs where the words are inscribed with a laser right into the surface of the DVD. This provides a more permanent label than the stickers that can peel off in time.

  23. Do you charge a fee for the tapes you receive that have not been rewound?
  24. I do not charge, but greatly appreciate all tapes being rewound. Thank you.

  25. Do you have any restrictions regarding the content of the video tapes?
  26. Yes, I cannot, will not transfer:

    Blank or undeveloped video
    Objectionable material
    Copy protected material
Copyrighted material (unless you have written permission from the copyright holder.)
Video with too much physical damage

  27. Please read my Policy/Guarantee

  28. How do I pay?
  29. You may pay by either personal check, money order, or through Paypal.
